Macadamia Application Rates
Application rates for Macadamias are a minimum of 2 tonnes per ha/7kgs per tree. Macadamias need lots of organic matter, so the incorporation of as much compost as possible up to 6t/ha prior to planting, is an added benefit, especially on sandy soils.
Spread a layer of our compost around the base of each macadamia tree, extending it to the drip line. Ensure that the compost layer is evenly distributed and covers the desired area. Gently work the compost into the topsoil without damaging the tree's roots. Our compost can also be used as a mulch bi-annually on your macadamia farm to enrich your soil, helping it retain moisture and suppressing plant diseases, pests, and weeds.
Row Cropping Application Rates
Application rates for compost on maize are typically around 600kgs/ha or broadcast at 2 tonnes per ha.
While soya, wheat, and barley are 2 tonnes per hectare. Apply as a one-time application before or during planting. Spread our compost evenly across the row crop area. This can be done manually using shovels or rakes or with the help of mechanized equipment such as spreaders. Ensure that the compost is distributed uniformly to promote even nutrient availability.

NUT AND FRUIT Tree Plantations Application Rates
Application rates for tree plantations depend on the species of the tree, soil conditions, and the specific objectives of the plantation. Generally, the application of 2 tonnes per hectare up to 3 times a year is recommended.
Spread a layer of our compost around the base of the tree, extending it to the drip line. Apply a tonnage per hectare layer of compost and gently work it into the soil without damaging the tree's roots. Repeat this process bi-annually to maintain healthy tree growth.

Home Garden Vegetable Application Rates
Application rates for home use are all dependent on the size of your garden, soil type, and the specific vegetables you are growing. Pre-plant apply approximately 1-2 inches of compost evenly over the planting area. Mix it thoroughly into the top 4-6 inches of soil before planting. For ongoing maintenance, top-dress the crops with a thin layer of our compost every 4-6 weeks.
