Application rates for Macadamias are a minimum of 2 tonnes per ha/7kgs per tree. Macadamias need lots of organic matter, so the incorporation of as much compost as possible up to 6t/ha prior to planting, is an added benefit, especially on sandy soils.

Spread a layer of our compost around the base of each macadamia tree, extending it to the drip line. Ensure that the compost layer is evenly distributed and covers the desired area. Gently work the compost into the topsoil without damaging the tree's roots. Our compost can also be used as a mulch bi-annually on your macadamia farm to enrich your soil, helping it retain moisture and suppressing plant diseases, pests, and weeds.
